What size fan do I need for my electrical cabinet?

Electrical Cabinet Cooling Fan size depends on your cabinet’s heat load and allowable temperature rise. Use the formula: CFM = (3.16 × P) / ΔT (P = heat load in watts, ΔT = allowed temp rise in °C). For most control cabinets between 400-800W, 120mm or 150mm fans are common. For larger cabinets (>1000W), 172mm or 200mm fans or centrifugal blowers are recommended.   • AC Fans: Run directly on 110V/220V mains. Simple wiring, durable, constant speed. Best for 24/7 continuous operation where speed control is not required.
