Why exhaust fan manufacturers choose centrifugal (not axial)

Problem: Airflow collapse in long ducts

Axial fan airflow can drop 60% with 3 meters of flex duct + 2 elbows.

Our solution: Centrifugal fan maintains ≥85% rated airflow at 100Pa.

Problem: Grease & moisture kill motors

Standard motors fail within 1 year in kitchen exhaust or bathroom ceiling.

Our solution: Sealed housing, coated PCB, IP54-rated centrifugal fan with drainage holes.

Problem: Overheating during continuous use

Industrial exhaust fans run 24/7 – cheap fans suffer winding failure.

Our solution: Class F insulation (155°C) and auto-reset thermal protector.

Match the motor technology to your exhaust fan application

From cost‑sensitive continuous fans to smart IoT range hoods – we have all three.

Application Recommended Motor Key Benefit Lifespan
Bathroom (on/off) AC Centrifugal Lowest cost, reliable start 50,000h
Solar / DC-ready DC Centrifugal 70% Efficiency, low noise 50,000h
Kitchen (Smart) EC Centrifugal PWM speed, 75% energy saving 70,000h
Industrial / Haz. AC / EC Metal High temp, IP56 protection 60,000h

Our Industrial Ventilator Fans

Simple rule: Required Pa = (duct length in meters × 6) + (elbows × 12) + (louver/damper × 20). Example: 4m duct + 2 elbows + backdraft damper = 4×6 + 2×12 + 20 = 68Pa minimum.

Our fans provide 100–500Pa, with P-Q curve available for each model. We help you avoid under‑sizing.

Every fan validated: factory testing for 24/7 ventilator duty

We don’t guess. We test. Each batch and critical parameters are verified to eliminate field failures.

Dielectric strength (HIPOT)

1500VAC / 1sec 100% tested – no electrical leakage, safe for humid environments.

Airflow & pressure check

Sample from each batch verified on wind tunnel; CFM and Pa within ±5% of spec.

Custom mechanical integration

We adjust inlet diameter, outlet flange, mounting bracket, and impeller material (aluminium/plastic/steel) to fit your existing housing.

Electrical & connector options

Pre-wired leads, custom terminal blocks, waterproof connectors, and even tacho output for speed monitoring.

Logistics & warranty

18-month warranty, fast sample (5-7 days), advanced replacement for quality issues, and safety stock for long‑term contracts.

FAQ of Ventilator Fans

Why is static pressure so critical for exhaust fans?

Static pressure (measured in Pa) is the “pushing power” of a fan. In exhaust systems, airflow faces resistance from long ducts, elbows, backdraft dampers, and grease filters. While standard axial fans lose up to 60% of their airflow under these conditions, our centrifugal fans are engineered to maintain over 85% of rated airflow, ensuring the room is actually ventilated rather than just spinning air.

A reliable engineering rule of thumb is:

$$Required\ Pa = (Duct\ length\ in\ meters \times 6) + (Number\ of\ elbows \times 12) + (Louver/Damper \times 20)$$

For example, a 4m duct with 2 elbows and a damper needs at least 68Pa. Our fans typically provide 100Pa to 500Pa, giving you a significant safety margin for reliable performance.

We use a three-tier protection strategy:

  1. IP Rating: Motors are available with IP54 or IP56 ratings, featuring sealed lead wires and encapsulated electronics.

  2. Materials: We offer stainless steel shafts and Class H (180°C) insulation for high-heat kitchen environments.

  3. Design: Our centrifugal impellers include drainage holes and coated PCBs to prevent failure from condensation or oily build-up.

Our EC (Electronically Commutated) fans are specifically designed for energy compliance (like ERP in the EU or DOE in the USA). They offer:

  • Up to 75% energy savings compared to AC motors.

  • 0-10V/PWM speed control for smart, demand-controlled ventilation.

  • Ultra-low standby power (as low as 2W).

Every batch undergoes rigorous verification:

  • Dielectric Strength (HIPOT): 1500VAC testing to ensure safety in humid zones.

  • Locked Rotor Test: Simulating a blockage for 48 hours to ensure the thermal protector prevents fire risks.

  • Performance Curve Audit: Sample testing in our wind tunnel to ensure CFM and Pa are within ±5% of specifications.
